A really lovely place to visit. Don’t be put off by the number of steps, you go up and down so you have respite in between the climbs! I was wondering why it is not more popular ... I spent a peaceful couple of hours...More

Went here during a local Bank Holiday so there were lots of people paying homage. Not sure that traditional custom of removing foot wear before entering site is appropriate nowadays.

It's a buddhist holy place, which you have to visit bare foot. But the impression is special. Starting down the hill and climbing the stairs to the upper dagoba brings you in a serene atmosphere. Climbing the rock nearby gives you a beautiful view on...More

Would recommend for sunset: allowing time to walk to summit and explore. Good idea to pack socks to wear after taking off shoes, as the ground is hot underfoot. No vendors around so be mindful to dress appropriately and pack water. Shoe storage often incurs...More

It is the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka where a king Tissa was stopped by a Mihidhu Rahathananwahanse and preached to him not to kill the deer. Don't let the 1850 steps out you off! If you can get a three wheeler or driver...More

No you won’t be able to cover hose 3 places in one day. You will need at least two days but even that would be very difficult.
