It was an interesting visit to the Monastery and learning a bit about the history too. Whilst I wouldn't necessarily say it is a "must see", if you do happen to have some time on your hands, it is a lovely walk by the sea...More

My husband and I and a third member of our tour group decided to visit the Savina Monastery after seeing its beautiful setting from a boat ride on the bay earlier in the morning. The monastery is a bit out of the way, so we...More

We drove there but it is possible to walk from town, but we had just spent most of the day going up and down the streets of Herceg Novi, so needed a break. There is a parking lot with ample parking. Two churches are right...More

You could reach it walking, but I recommend to take taxi. Small monastery, quite nice but nothing else. Much of beggars, very much garbage near entrance.

Nice and cool in the monastery when it's very hot outside. View from the top are stunning. Good to take a walk in the woods as well.

We actually walked along the coastline and entered the Old Town via quite a few steep steps but it was well worth the climb.

Beautiful orthodox monastery just outside of Herceg Novi. They also have their own vinyard and you can taste and buy the products right there. Fine wine. Stunning views over the bay and adriatic sea.

This area with the graveyard, the little church and the big church, are really nice. The lawn is kept nice and green, which gives you a feeling that someone still cares for this place. The church bells are controlled by manpower, which is good, that...More
