Somehow this statue captures, vividly, the patriotism and stoicism of Cetinje's founder and reflects the town's pride in his warrior and statesmanlike virtues that obviously carried-over to the town's people. Not vast or expansive, but very poignant and reflective of a people.

Cetinje, the old montenegrian Capital, is a small City and this monumet is one of the local attraction you can't miss situated on the road just passing by to the local museum and monastery.

Ivan Crnojevica was the found er of Cetinje. Therefore it is a good starting point if you have just some interest in Montenegrin history - and there is an informative stander be side the statue.
