What people say
Jan 2019 • Family
What people say just does not cover the emotions that go along with this hike.i went there twice because it was so captivating. The first you are so taken in by the hike and everything along it. The second time you see the small things that make you try and understand how these people lived here thousands of years ago...before even the time of the pyramids. Leave about a half a day to take this all in AND wear good shoes.

Antankallo park has a few beautiful waterfalls you can choose from. The hike will take you about 1 or 2 hours. I would say it's an easy hike with a big part being a semi-flat terrain. Also to enter the park you have to pay 3 soles. It's 2 or 3 hours from Lima, we took a van and did the hole trip for 90 soles but I think you can spend 30 overall. The waterfall is too strong to hang under it but the views worth it. Better park your car in the town and start your walk from there, the park is pretty close. Also you can buy cheese, honey and milk from the cow farms around.

Nice place for a day trip approx 1 hour hike great for taking cool pics nice waterfall. Took about three hours from Lima using public transportation. Town is small and has a friendly plaza with good food. You can do the whole trip for under 50 soles if you do it right.

Great outdoor weekend near Lima

If you want to see a little bit of nature and have a great trekking, you must visit this place. It's really near Lima, 2h drive and then 1h30 walking. I went with friend for camping and it was awesome, they have bathroom and a special place to camp. Just be prepare for the cold night because it was more cold then expected.
