This place is well worth a visit. The hike is hard at altitude but if you walk slow it's no issue. Horses are available and most other people chose this option. We were able to leave our motorbike helmets with one of the vendors for...More

This place is really lovely, I do consider it is a must do in Huaraz, however I noticed that people leave garbage behind and touch the glacier, we need to be more careful when visiting this nature sites. I wish the place had more surveillance,...More

The drive to Pastoruri glacier from Huaraz on a day trip took about 3.5 hours (somewhat less on the way back) and walking to the viewpoint at the altitude of 5,100 meters is not easy. The view is nice, but we have seen similar and...More

We hired a day trip. They stop on the way for short whiles so you can accommodate to the altitude. 40minutes hike that you should do slowly if you dont want to get sick. You can save half trekking hiring horses. Just remember they won't...More

At first it was difficult. We live in the plain, so over 5 km it was hard to go to breathe. Service staff was very helpful. Thank you very much for this beauty.

Lots of driving, and the tour I was on stopped at lots of random places before hand - time which I would've preferred at the glacier. Ended up with just over an hour there, which wasn't nearly enough. Go around the whole lake for awesome...More

We loved being close to this glacier, although it’s sad to see the recession. It’s a long bus ride but our guide had lots of interesting information to share. Stopping to see Puyu Raimondii on the way was also very interesting and broke up the...More
