Beautiful ancient temple. We got there at 6pm and had the whole temple to ourselves! Probably the best attraction to see while visiting kintamani.

We visited a douzain of temple in Bali and this one was our favorite. First of all because of the nice huge and old banyan tree at the entrance, then because of the nice architecture and finally because there were few tourists I strongly recommend this visit

Our cruise ship had an overnight stop in Bali and we hired a cab to take us to popular sites. Kehen Hindu Temple was the first and a unique and beautiful piece of Bali culture.

This is an excellent site. The entrance gate and terraces, the courtyard with its spectacular huge banyan tree, the jeroan with its 11-roofed meru. We were impressed with the sensations we experienced, being here in this tranquil place of worship. And no pesky vendors to bother us!

The function of Kehen Temple as sanctum in execution of oath ceremony is supported by the existence of a circumlocutory canister by 4 dragon tails which is called canister Sarpantaka. Nowadays, the canister is placed in a building in form of Gedong

Kehen was the state temple of Bangli Kingdom with very great importance in old time. Here Bangli kings and ministers were sworn. Look at the handsome entrance gate decorated with dozens of heroes from Ramayana and Mahabarata epics, and the excellent carvings on the entrance gate.
