The buillding is quite impressive as is the entire square. Unfortunately I could not enter as it was a functioning school and visitors were not permitted.

This and the surrounding buildings are just stunning. A must see. Here one can get a real idea of what Bukhara was like back in the days of its glory.

Absolutely fantastic, and mosque and Madrasa, but the buildings again are in wonderful condition, resorted, and a joy to inspect, The tiling on the domes is amasing

Complex of mosques and madrasahs beautiful coloured domes with golden bricks and not the tile work we saw in Samarkand but still very beautiful. Worth spending sometime as the sun descends and the colours change

Another excellent example of Uzbek architecture. You can go into the entrance of the madrasah; however only a short distance as is still operating as a school. The ceiling in the entrance has fabulous brickwork, well worth a look.

Another typical madrassah with beautiful architecture. This place is still in use and it's in the heart of old town Bukhara. You won't miss it, so when you are there, go check it out. There are always souvenir shops everywhere.
