in the early morning before the tour parties arrive this museum is lovely and quiet - you have time to read the information and sit in the peaceful garden its not a huge museum so you dont get overwhelmed but there are interesting sections on...More

Went through the museum in the afternoon after touring most of the major elements of the UNESCO heritage site by tuk-tuk in the morning. The Ramkamhaeng National Museum will take you a one and one-half to two hours to walk through including the grounds. It...More

Sukhothai achieved its golden era under the 3rd King - Ramkhamhaeng, who also created the Thai alphabet and language. If you are wondering who is King Ramkhamhaeng - he is the guy at the back of your 20 Baht bill.

This is a good starting point before you enter the park . There is some good artifacts but unless you are a true historian I wouldn't linger more than an hour . There is so much more to see outside!!

Hi there, 1. The museum open everyday from 9-16. 2. There is no any cafe or refreshment place inside however around the museum there are several cafes, 7-11 and shops near by. Hope those help :D
