Well organized museum in two separate buildings. The walking Buddha is in building 2. Museum entrance is just across the street from the main entrance to the Historical Park Site.

You must visit here to learn the local history before a trip to any of the Historic Parks. You can learn so much about the area and the put what you see at the Parks into perspective.

They have guidebooks in several languages to learn many more details about all the exhibits. It is interesting to learn more about the history of international trade and ceramics production techniques. The artistic exhibits upstairs have stories about some Buddhist iconography and legends

Gopod to visit during the stay at the Sukhothai Historical Park because gives a general vision and understanding of the area. Many beatiful Buddha statues and other archeological artifacts.
