I think Mango bay has great snorkeling. I wish trip advisor would merge the two attractions. Ao means "Bay" in Thai. Muong means "Mango" in Thai.

Certainly recommend visiting this area. Short boat trip from Sairee beach or you will stop on the way if you do a snorkelling trip. The sand / Beach itself is strewn with dead pieces of Coral so barefoot approach to the water is very uncomfortable...More

found this place by accident and the sea life was just amazing , wasnt too impressed with all the boats and theri fumes etc ut its worth a visit if you like to snorkle

Ao Mung is the place to be. I've discovered this bay under water, but for sure it is a nice place to stay. Quit with a restaurant and a bar. So you will have a great day.

There are two ways to get to Aow Muang or Ao Muong or Mango Bay. The first is the way sensible people do it and that is to go by boat. The second is for the more adventurous (foolhardy?) who go tandem on their 125cc...More
