If you want to look at sea cucumbers on dead coral, this is one of the places. The only good snorkeling spots on Ko Tao are Aow Leuk and Light House.

Very nice and tipical beach of Koh Tao, probably the most attractive for a picture. Snorkelling is only medium though.

Nice place to snorkel, but can be quite dangerous if you find yourself over a shallow patch with nowhere to put your feet down.

The shark bay is one of the most beautiful bays at Koh Tao and - the name says it all - you can go for a dive and if you are lucky you will see a shark (don‘t worry - they are pretty shy so...More

This bay is just good for sunbathing but if you need some shade, there is not enough place for everybody under the tree. The bay is so shallow that you cannot swim. There is a like way used by the boat to go go find some...More

We loved this place. As most places on koh Tao a place in paradise. There is only a small party of sandy sea before you hit the coral but great place for snokeling or diving. Check times if you want to see sharks

All beaches except Sairee are private premises like NangYuen, 100 Baht is standard for foreigners and 30Baht for Thai. This is the by-law and as a tourist, one shud respect the locals. Trespassing private premises, will be at own risk and not covered by insurance...More

Terrible snorkeling. Skip it!! “Shark Bay” is a marketing scam to try to get people here. There are no sharks. There used to be but the coral is all dead and you have to snorkel out into the open ocean out of the bay to...More

This review is purely on the snorkeling, and not the land portion of the bay itself. We visited Shark Bay with a snorkeling tour group, and it was pretty sobering. We had spent our entire week in Koh Tao diving some of the more vibrant/healthy...More

Try and get to Koh Rok (i think that’s the spelling) in Thailand, best snorkelling you’ll find out of all the south islands! Places that are more ‘party islands’ are basically destroyed out at sea due to tourists.
