We stayed just above this bay for three weeks and I can honestly say we had the most amazing snorkeling experiences! My partner even swam with a blacktip reef shark and in Tanote Bay you can see "cauliflower" shaped jellyfish in the loveliest shades of...More

I was on Ko Tao for 4 days in June 2010 and had some of the best snorkeling there on Ko Nang Yuan, in Ao Tanote and Ao Luek. I came back with hundreds of underwater pictures of fish in beautiful coral and underwater scenery....More

This is a stunning part of the island, we saw it by boat so didn’t actually stay there, but we dived here and the marine life is amazing for both diving and snorkelling.

Tanote Bay is a nice beach located on the east side of Koh Tao. The waves are small as it is sheltered and the snorkelling is awesome! It was the best by the huge rock in the water. There was live coral and many different...More

Went snorkelling here one day, accessible by motorbike (a winding road but in a good condition). Some other beaches had very shallow water but here it was easy to go snorkelling. My second time snorkelling but I think it was a good place to see...More

We went to this beach to hang out and cool off in the ocean. Didn’t even know how much there is to see here! We had snorkels and masks and we spent ages exploring the reefs. There’s tons of fish including my favourite parrot fish!...More

Really cool beach to hang out one afternoon, there is a rock that you can jump from just beware of the climb!

Interesting beach to snorkel from out to Shrark island and around coastal rocks but be careful of strong waves and currents. Wait until after 8.30 am when the seaweed has been cleared or it's like swimming in a bowl of cornflakes.

Spent the morning relaxing on this beach. Quite a steep and bendy road to get there, but well worth it. Wish I had booked one of the beach villas rather than where I had stayed.
