Kantiang Bay can be found towards the south of the island on Ko Lanta's west coast. The Bay is a little-known, beach-lover's haven where you can truly relax and soak up the sunshine and beach-life of an island paradise. There's plenty of things to do - live a castaway dream, paddle in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea, learn to scuba dive, or just make Kantiang Bay your sun-kissed home for a while.

If you are looking for a lovely, pretty clean beach, without sunbeds and tons of people, but with a few monkeys, wild dogs, a handful beach restaurants, great sunsets, a fun bar, this is the place. Also a good base to explore the south of...More

We stayed in Kantiang Bay so this beach was our go to beach. It's a great beach by day with plenty of space and never crowded. It really comes into it's own at night with some great beach bars and restaurants (same same but different...More

Gorgeous, with great sand beach, shaped like a crescent. Offers more dramatic landscape than the main beaches, but still developed enough to have a small group of resorts and beach bars. Great for couples, and got the Why Not beach bar offering entertainment in the...More

Superb beach, great water for swimming, but bring sunshade and towels if you're not staying at Pimalai Resort. All other resorts / hotels don't have sunbeds on this beach and offer no shade, so take this into consideration when you go there. You get many...More

Having been to Lanta 3 times before we decided to stay further south. We picked a wonderful guest house which was 5 star for us, however the area did not live up to our Lanta expectations. Yes it was stunning as much of Thailand is,...More

There are several daytrips boats which can take you to other islands from Kantiang Bay. We stopped for a short dive at Ko Ngai, and got off at Ko Muk before the boat continued to Ko Kradan. Just ask at the hotel.
