Kantiang Bay can be found towards the south of the island on Ko Lanta's west coast. The Bay is a little-known, beach-lover's haven where you can truly relax and soak up the sunshine and beach-life of an island paradise. There's plenty of things to do - live a castaway dream, paddle in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea, learn to scuba dive, or just make Kantiang Bay your sun-kissed home for a while.

Volunteer to walk a pup with Lanta Animal Welfare from 9-11 or 3-5 and they may send you over to this beach. More of a relaxing beach than a swimming beach. Lots of longtail fishing boats along the side, and through the bushes to the...More

This beach is more beautiful than Kling Nin and is calmer (general rule in Lanta is the more south you go the calmer it gets). Why not bar is cool, they have live music and fire shows. Restaurants on the beach are a bit pricey,...More

At the end of the beach is a nice restaurant, same, same but different is it called. We snorkelled but there was not much to see, the water is very clear though.

Great place to stop off for an afternoon visit or a longer stay. Why Not Bar was a very mellow place for an afternoon drink and a couple of hours relaxing with a reggae soundtrack. The bar has a free live show and DJs but...More

This is paradise. Kantiang offers a great white beach with perfect clear water. Sure there are better beaches little bit further down the road. But here you have restaurant and 7-11 and you can buy beach toys if you want some.

There are several daytrips boats which can take you to other islands from Kantiang Bay. We stopped for a short dive at Ko Ngai, and got off at Ko Muk before the boat continued to Ko Kradan. Just ask at the hotel.
