On our way to numerous famous ruins Wats of Ayutthaya, our tuk tuk fellow brought us to this settlement. Just when we were thinking it's a welcome break from the same type of attraction, the entry fee and the lack of condition in lieu of...More

A well run museum centred round two videos on the Japanese activities in Ayutthaya. These are good but other exhibits are quite limited. Allow about 45 minutes. It's a bit out of town so make sure you ask your transport to wait or you may...More

This is a very interesting place to visit. It gives a nice overview of the historical trade between Ayuthya and Japan. It's great to visit, especially on a rainy day, when the ruins might be harder to enjoy.

The settlement is well design, and organized. The buildings and structures are well maintainted. The japanese garden needs maintaining. Video presentations are simple but adequate. The artifacts are well presented and the staffs need to improve their knowledge in history of the area.

People emigrated to Thailand/Siam of the Ayuttaya rein when there was no internet - not the least of air-conditioners or antibiotics - for the same reasons as of today? The flow of Chao Phraya River running in front of the Japanese Village looked so innocent...More

The museum is really interesting from the point of view that it explains really well the reasons why the Japanese were there in the first place and the history behind their leaving but the gardens (Japanese style) really need more upkeep.
