Actually this temple was situated in Dhanuskodi before the cyclone attack. After that the statue was brought from there and built a new temple in the present place. Believed that praying here gives children to couple who don't have children for a long time.

An old temple with lot of folklore traditions. It is situated inside a jungle. Nowadays you have road access, but about 20 years you had no choice but to walk only. Special poojas are conducted during Navathri and other special occassions.
