Unfortunately all the Step Wells in Bundi are defaced by rubish. Some more, some less. Such a pity to see how these monuments are treated by the uncaring public.

Was eager to see the stepwells in Bundi. Both were very interesting however was so disappointed to see the neglect. Water was filthy and full of rubbish. Broken fencing surround the one in the market. The royal step well has an entrance fee however I...More

Definitely worth seeing. We were lucky to meet soil scientist in Delhi who explained about geology etc. Worth finding out a bit more in advance. They are fascinating and real achievements.

Right in the middle of the vegetable market. Free entry on the side. Smaller than expected and quite steep. Worth a peek but trashed up. A real shame that the council of Bundi isn’t interested in upholding history.

Giant stepwell and the architecture of it was interesting and worth a visit. The history of these wells and how they impact the people is very interesting.
