We spent several very interesting hours watching the process to give everyone their cup of tea! Firstly there is a film which gives the background history. The set up which is a village of workers and includes hospital, Nursery, school and housing. A job for life ! The tea gardens are all around, miles and miles of small hills covered in tea. It is a very skilful job knowing which leaf to take. We went around the factory seeing the processes involved. The staff showing us fiercely proud. At the end we had a cup of tea of course and just like theme parks the obligatory shop on the way out!

We visited tea gardens during our trip from munnar to Thekkady. Tea garden owner charged Rs. 50/- for per person visit for that. Although it's nothing in front of scenic beauty. Musu visits the tea gardens.

Beautiful rolling hills for as far as the eye can see. The vistas are just fantastic and so peaceful. The climate is so wildly different than all other parts of India so it gets very cold and as we went at the beginning of the monsoon season, it started to rain, and I would recommend bringing a rain jacket and rain gear and sweaters and hiking boots!!
