We have been to Croatia on a number of occasions and always visit the square, there is a few lovely coffee and cake cafes dotted around with outdoor seating so you can just sit and watch the world go by, Croatians are usually very polite...More

Varazdin is a great town with a fantastic atmosphere. Lots of narrow streets, flowers and the main square is really beautiful accomodating restaurants and cafes. Really worth visiting. It accomodates also one of the oldest European Municipality buildings.

Great place for coffee, icecream, hangout. Great nightlife. Must see city guard at their duty. You can see a lot of interesting people.

We arrived on Sunday. Almost no people. Here and there a few cafes are open. The place is very beautiful, the alleyways are hooked up to the main square, and the view is lovely. The ancient buildings are worth a visit.

Square look nice and you have feeling of peacefulness because other than one cafe bar there was nothing else beside baroque architecture around you.

Saturday mornings are the best time to feel the pulse of this town. People are doing their fruit market errands and sipping coffees in the central squares. City guard (purgeri) does their march in front of the hall. During some parts of the year, there...More
