The Temple is looking considerably better after a lot of renovations and the scaffolding has been taken down. Having said that, there is still a lot more necessary. Always an interesting visit and actually a lot to see and learn. Always enjoy the massive Steles...More

Spent a few hours here while in Qufu for a few days. There's some nice things to see, but much of them are replicas, and its really crowded. Nice to see if you're interested in the man and his teachings, but otherwise you won't get...More

This temple complex has been on my bucket list for some time. A wonderful serene place walking through a series of Gates and Pagodas to the Dacheng Palace where the locals make offering to Confucius. If your over 60 years ask for the 50% seniors...More

Amazing to think how long this temple had been there . Our guide was really informative about all the aspects of the buildings . Great to just sit and think , to take some time out .

The temple size is impressive. Some of the buildings itself are also grand, but most of them are in bad condition. And it feels a bit repetitive quickly. There are better temples to visit in China.

It is a sacred place for people who believe in Confucianism. It has rich history and culture and a tranquil environment. I wouldn't recommend the temple to average tourists, as it is not a "fun" site.

Great morning out at the Confucious Temple. Lots of information plaques and shared areas for when it got too hot. Some small shops but all selling the same things. Drinks and ice cream very reasonably priced.

The temple is similar to countless others throughout China, but the fact that it is dedicated to Confucius makes it special to his millions of followers. It is well maintained and impressive, though to a Westerner it would easily be confused with any other temple...More

You can buy just one ticket (150 RNB) to enter three different places which are the Confucius temple, the Confucius mansion and the Confucius cemetery. The former two are next to one another. The latter is a bit far away. It takes around 15 minutes...More

Most buildings were rebuilt due to fire damages, not original. Some trees were very old, over thousands of years. Stone tablets inscribed with emperors' handwritings were unique. The carved columns with dragon motifs are truly a work of art. The color of the thousand year...More
