Well, the bridge is not operating. China built it and paid for it, now North Korea is asking for China to also pave the roads on DPRK side and build new warehouses. China said no, so the beautiful friendship bridge is not very friendly. Just...More

They stated that’s NK and China Friendship Bridge but only the Chinese side of the bridge is still standing. I do not know why they are not rebuild or take it down. May be they wanted to witness the accuracy of the American bomber.

The bridge linking China and North Korea at Dandong had just one truck on it, heading back to China, while we watched for about an hour. U.N. sanctions mean trade between the two countries is way down. A couple of years ago, this bridge had...More

Beautifully lit a night. It runs parallel to the Broken Bridge war memorial. A slow, old train runs back and forth from N Korea to PRC several times a day.

This is an old poorly maintained bridge linking China and the DPRK. Nothing sets it aside as special other than it is the only entry point for Tourists who are permitted to catch the train to Pyongyang.

One of those things you can see on the Internet but if your one to see things fir real then this is great. Still has the flavour of a WWII legacy and leaves you with many questions of the world relationship with the reclusive DPRK....More

The Friendship Bridge, right beside the Broken Bridge, not far from the Great Wall of China, illustrates the best approach to international relations. The Broken Bridge was bombed. The Great Wall was built to keep enemies out. The Friendship Bridge encourages trade and some tourism....More

Within walking distance from the train station. Entry 30 Yuan. An opportunity to get closer to the North Korean border. Bridge still has evidence of the damage it sustained during a bomb attack. Short walk out to the end. Minimal steps. Was lucky enough to...More

Also know as the Broken Bridge as it was bombed by the Americans in the Korean War to stop access from China to North Korea.
