Lovely little church, simple, well kept, suits perfectly the relaxing pace of life of San Pedro. The wooden ceiling is perhaps the best part of this simple architecture. Saints and religious symbols are well kept and look very colorful compared to the usual atmosphere of...More

Peaceful, lovely, and charming, is how I would describe Chile's supposedly second oldest church. Go and visit it, it is worth it, for its simplicity. One more thing, it is build of adobe. Gilles

Well, I always start by visiting a church because it tells you so much about the past... pay attention to the doors and ceiling which are made of Cardon (sort of cactus). Protected today, it is rare to still see it.

A beautiful church located on the central square of San Pedro de Atacama. A rustic adobe structure with open, wooden rafters this church clearly gets a lot of love and is well worth the effort to see. We happened by on Easter Sunday just as...More

In the small town of San Pedro de Atacama this delightful small church was so typical of the area and was really fascinating

Having been to so many churches, temples etc throughout the world it is difficult to get excited anymore. It was very quiet inside when we were there. 10-15 minutes is plenty of time

Boring on the outside and boring on the inside. It only seems to be open after 17.30. We found it open during a Sunday service, but it didn’t seem very interesting compared to other churches we have seen on our travels around Chile

Old church with some unique history. It is centrally located in the city so you can easy stop by before or after meal while in the city center.

We wandered into this church just as a couple were getting married. What a contrast to many UK weddings! This one was simple, a few family members in attendance and a minister who raced through the service. Oh, the church was interesting too!

The old chirch is part of the charm of the little town. It is very picturesque. The square with its huge trees is very nice.

Hi, sorry I don't know but they do have a Facebook page Church-of-San-Pedro-de-Atacama which should be easy enough to find. I hope that is of some help.
