The statue is on top of the park from where you can get a panoramic view of the channel that separates Myanmar and Thailand. You can see the coast of Thailand and the park requires you to walk a bit uphill.

Visited as part of a day trip from Ranong. There is not a great deal to see in the area. The statue is well maintained and there are nice views. The is an inscription in Burmese and English which explains the significance of this King.

It's a very nice gold statue, no wonder it is a landmark of Kaw thoung. I can also see the sea view on the other side of the stairs.
