Unfortunately, if you are not a Bulgarian citizen, you will not be able to understand too much. Translations are not available on all presented elements. The building, despite the degradation, is beautiful especially the entrance and the garden. With some efforts this museum could be...More

There are some more interesting museums of Veliko Tarnovo, like the Prison museum and the Historical museum - they all can be visited with a bundle ticket. The yard behind the building is very romantic, with some columns and statues and resembles an Italian patio.

Well presented historical exhibition covering periods from antiquity to modernity. Rich collection of historical material and trained museum workers. There is plenty to see and learn.

This 400 year old stone and wood house has been tastefully restored to its former state . Interesting to wander through but our guide gave us too much information! Interesting that they used a heating system in the bedrooms rather than open fireplace

The museum is located alongside the Bulgarian Renaissance Museum but has a curious access. It's an interesting building but it seems that there still unoccupied spaces. The exhibits offer an image of the ancient history of this area of Bulgaria. Pity that about 60% of...More
