I would recommend going to see this quickly if you are in close vicinity of it. If you are not close by then you are not missing much.

The São Paulo monument of Independence is simply remarkable. I highly recommend taking some time to view it from all angles as it reveals new beauty at every corner. Unmissable

We've visited this monument on Independence Day. This must be IT. Which moment is better? The park is OK, the monument is a monument and for the rest there is not much to see or do.

Beautiful and interesting. Be sure to have someone there to translate what it says for you. We went at night, and everything was lit up well, so we could still see everything and feel safe.

I liked it because inside it there are two tombs, of D. Pedro I and his second wife. This D. Pedro I proclamed our independence from Portugal. It´s a very small place, nothing else to be seen. Just nice.
