This is a staple of any visit to Brazil especially for the first time. The weather cooperated and the sights of Rio from that height was amazing.

We visited Corcovado as part of a city tour so didn't have to queue for tickets, but there was a long wait for the rack railway that takes you to the summit. The train ride takes about twenty minutes and is an enjoyable journey through...More

This is a “must go” experience. Tours can take many hours visiting few touristic spots and they all include the visit to Cristo Redentor in the middle of the natural reserve Tijuca. We took more than 30 minutes to go up and again more than...More

You simply cannot tell others you have been to Rio but didn't go there! A beautiful monument that is even prettier than pictures. Go to the top by the cog-train on a clear day and admire Rio from the top.

Visited as part of a tour. Very well organised. Not to be missed if you're visiting Rio. Some cloud which quickly dissapated. Busy but able to get good photos.

This is located high up in thr mountains. It's a long winding drive, but well worth it. It is a long hike, if you choose to take the stairs, I think about 200 and something, but there's the loft to take you, if you prefer...More

There is something about this resplendent statue with its arms spread wide watching over Rio somehow guarding it from afar - it takes my breath away when I see it from a distance peeping out of the clouds, makes me smile when I think about...More

Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local
artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this
neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors
can now stroll through this area to view magnificent
mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th
century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a
former mansion turned museum which houses works by
prominent Brazilian modern artists.

We saw security. But it was Carnival week. I would look up Gustavo Faro, the guide who took us up there.
