About
One of the most beautiful attractions in Rio de Janeiro and one of the most famous in Brazil. Our mission is to take people to an enchantment, fun and entertainment journey – providing happy and unforgettable experiences as well as valuing Brazilian culture. We constantly invest in safety, comfort and innovative technologies. Our locations constitute natural, geological, historical, and touristic landmarks in the city of Rio de Janeiro. As a natural landmark, it reminds us of our reference to the sailors who come to Guanabara Bay. As a geological landmark, it reminds us of our geological site precisely dating the history of our planet. We also talk about historical landmark because on March 1, 1565, Estacio de Sa founded the City of Sao Sebastiao in Rio de Janeiro literally on its feet. And, finally, touristic landmark because the Cable Car opened on Sugarloaf projected Brazil’s name worldwide. It has been the first cable car installed in Brazil and the third in the world.

Top ways to experience Sugarloaf Mountain
The area
Address
Neighborhood: Urca
Urca is one of the oldest areas in Rio. Known for its incredible views of the city, the neighbourhood runs along Guanabara bay, providing visitors with an opportunity to watch the sunset from one of Rio’s greatest natural treasures: Sugarloaf Mountain (Pao de Acucar). It is said that the locals in Urca are “bon vivant,” which is one of the reasons the area attracts people of all styles and ages. Urca is the perfect place to take a stroll and appreciate the area’s beautiful architecture, enjoy a cocktail and some delicious seafood pastries at a bar, or bring a bottle of wine and enjoy it while sitting anywhere along the stone seawall known as the “mureta.”

n this emblematic and touristic place of rio de janeiro do not have staff that at least speaks English or Spanish. All the "assistants" do not speak any language other than Portuguese, and they are not helpful. For a tourist coming from abroad and traveling to Brazil, communication is a big problem.

I booked passes online so I skipped the line and since I had an elderly with me, we could skip the line to enter the Bondinho as well
The see sight is beautiful even during a cloudy day with view to the Corcovado, Copacabana, Botafogo, Niterio's Bridge and Santos Dumont Airport
We were lucky to see Saguis (tiny Monkeys who lives in trees) and they don't seem to be scared of humans
The only bas side of the journey is that there are no safe distancing before you enter the Bondinho and even inside (it was pretty crowdy) but they ask for vaccine passport to everyone.

One of the most beautiful views from Rio de Janeiro. Tip: Go just one hour before sunset, take amazing pictures from the top, while enjoying your favorite drink.

Rio is an extremely pretty city and this place is one of the best to appreciate that. Covid safety measures are good too.

We had an incredible weather when we got there, make sure you check it for the best views in Rio! Everything went smooth as we had the tickets bought in advance.

I extremely recommend buying the Fast Pass tickets online, so that you can arrive just a couple of minutes before opening and yet be the first arriving on top.
The view is stunning for and I also recommend to take pictures and drink something at the Sunset Club, while the other tourists are still in line or arriving.

Definitely worth a visit. Try and schedule it for 4pm so you can enjoy the pink tones of the sunset sky.
