The distance that separates Santarém from Alter, is approximately 35 km. Access by paved road. Arriving in Alter from the ground we will walk through the village, visit the handicraft shops and contact with the villagers. We recommend wearing light clothing, bathing suit and sunscreen. Free time for bathing in the Tapajós river. On this tour is included mineral water.

Nice market you can eat traditional food for very cheap! But i did felt a little unsafe Being there.... it was very crowded and there were a lot of policemen walking around (which in this situation wasn’t that bad). But if You’re in Belém I would recommend to pay a short visit

This is reputedly the largest market in Latin America. On the waterfront in the centre of Belem. It is large, crowded, noisy and smelly! If you are into markets then it is a must see. We just skirted the fringes, as we do not really enjoy them.
