This is a great place to hang out, bike, take advantage of the clean beach.
Sunday nights the offer a big food fair with entertainment for the kids.
This place is on the water giving you a long path to walk and enjoy the water.

Beach?

Nice beach, dirty water. Even had signs up saying "dont swim, dont go into the water". Pity about the pollution. Beachkiosques at the end of beach.

Great place to stop by

This spot is very nice to stop, walk around, have some coconut water and enjoy the site. There are restrooms, but not so clean.

Kind of scuzzy in the evening...

We visited in the evening, when local vendors set up an outdoor market, selling crafts, clothing, and food. Being from Rio de Janeiro, we're accustomed to street fairs and enjoy them. This one is pretty small by comparison and both times we went by, there was an unsavory element that made the place feel unsafe. (There were groups of teenagers running around threatening each other and late that escalated into a fight).

The food carts didn't issue an appealing aroma either... I would recommend the street fair on Praia da Costa, across the bridge in Villa Velha instead. Better view, nicer crowd and you are right on the beach...
