The Carneval in Salvador is very famous. You can buy the „Carneval shirt“ of a group, for example „Olodum“ & you can walk the cortejo with this group. To go with them is safe, there are a lot of security people around this groups.

Salvador is a great small city to spend a day, on the beaches where they bring drinks to your chairs you can spent such a long time :) Also the shopping centers are very nice and European.
