This is basically the centre of the town. There are lots of shops around the hot spring and there are also outdoor hot springs that you could use for free to soak your feet.

This is really a unique and beautiful area, and I am glad I came to see with my own eyes. I was lucky to have good clear weather and the Yubatake was visible in winter.

A fun place although quite cold in winter there are numerous free springs that will warm you up for the mountain air. Restaurants surround Yubetake for truly international fare.

Yubatake is a very unique place. It has not changed much in many years. The buildings and businesses surrounding it has changed over the years. Plenty of “Omiyage Ya” souvenir shops with local items. Nice selection of restaurants.

If you want to stay over night, its better to make a hotel reservation. But just for a day trip, the town is open at all time free of charge, as well as parks.
