Winter mid-week walks are therapeutically calming. Kids love the visitor center. Various birds, reptiles, deer, and if you’re lucky a beaver.

Perfect scenery and nature close to town. Parking lot could be bigger. Plenty of planes overhead. Neither of these issues detract however!

This park is a fantastic place to take a walk through the woods and in the swamp on good paths. These paths are pretty even ground which makes them a safe path as well.
