So much grassy areas for dogs to run and enjoy. There were warning signs by the water about algae being unsafe. I would just keep my dog away from the water. Also a pretty area for the owners to have a few of the city.

Great People watching! Lady Bird Lake beauty and trees, lots of dogs playing off leash area. Watch the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Great trail to ride bikes, jog or run. Also has a great view of downtown with the silhouette of skyscrapers in the background including iconic buildings (Frost Bank) and the new condo towers. Stevie Ray Vaughn statue. Feed the birds, ducks or just hang out on a bench and watch the world go by.

This park is a great place to take your dogs, right in the middle of Austin. It's on the water so the pups can swim on a hot day, there's a beautiful view of downtown, it's large enough that you can let your dogs go off leash and run around but it's super accessible. We try to go here a few times a month. Be prepared for it to get crowded on busy days, and if you go you should know it's likely you'll encounter dogs wanting to play and even jumping on you, but most dog owners are cool with that. There is a running trail and bike path that go through the park, so be careful if your dog isn't as well behaved off leash, the runners/bikers are less tolerant of dogs bothering them than other patrons in the park.

Wanted to take a walk, and be near Congress Ave. Bridge, we stumbled on this park. Parking isn't too bad, paid $1 for an hour. Beautiful view, i was seriously impressed.

We took our two dogs to Auditorium Shores when we were visiting Austin. It's a great place for them! It's huge, with lots of room for them to run off leash. The whole area is clean and nicely maintained, especially considering how well attended it is, and there were many other dogs for them to play with. The park is so dog friendly, there are even drinking fountains just for them! Neither of our dogs likes to swim, but for those that do, there is a large area where they can play in the river. We've gone to dog parks all over the country as we've traveled, and this is one of the best.

I'm from Seattle, we have parks, we enjoy the outdoors. This place is something else. There's dogs everywhere, a nice river, and its absolutely spotless no needles, trash, or tents like up in Seattle.
Everybody is super friendly and super chill.
I've never been in a park that I've enjoyed as much. This single handedly convinced me to move to this city.

Went for the Reggae Festival and had a great time! The venue is well laid out with such fantastical views of downtown Austin, that we snagged a peddler/bicycle/carriage type of cab to go to the next place. Loved it!
