- Jun RuayaCalamba, Philippines52 contributionsIdeal Place for Bikers, Joggers and Walkers During WeekendsBikers in Quezon City are unanimous in choosing the UP campus in Diliman as a weekend retreat. But during this quarantine nobody is allowed to bike or even stroll on the sprawling campus. But I managed to get into the campus with a daughter after I showed the lone guard my travel authority issued by the Covid Shield task force as an LSI. I was planning to go back to my hometown in December.I drove my daughter from her work in Makati to savor the fresh air and the smell of newly cut grasses. The bottomline is, the campus is one of the few open parks in the metropolis where fresh air could be savored. .It has huge expanse of open areas where you could walk, jog or bike. But the lone guard disallowed us to disembark from the car and do some jogging. It was during GCQ time when even light exercises were discouraged. But it was a trip worth the effort.Visited August 2020Written August 28, 2020
- nmc8693539 contributionsNow where to go but UPThe layout of the campus is well though of , with a mix of old buildings with a a growing number of new ones. The UP campus is one of the remaining “ green areas “ in the metro . The university had produced a good number of outstanding alumni!!👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼Visited February 2020Traveled with familyWritten February 9, 2020
- GP Eu91 contributionsMy week is not complete without running hereI seriously thought it is impossible to have an expansive green space in the city. I was wrong. People have been talking about how awesome it is to run in UP but I didn't mind because I somehow live far from it. I finally got to visit on the 29th of December 2019 and man! I am there weekly! I love this place so much, I can't imagine having a better run than here.Visited December 2019Written February 2, 2020

I enjoyed jogging in this area since there are many trees that offer shade and vendors that offered refreshments.

Visited UP just to check the best school in the country. The campus is full of trees which makes it very conducive for learning.

Quiet neighborhood. University vibe. Near good places to eat and also within the University, so many good food to try. There's a community inside. It is like a mini Republic of the Philippines. Micro-climate. Plenty of trees. Good place to bike and jog. Safe. Friendly faces.

This place never fails to impress us. Whenever we visit this, it always feels like home. The university's maintenance always make sure that all the facilities are clean and always welcome you to sit down in the grass or one of the benches that you can find everywhere. We've met a dog while walking in the university oval, he's so cute and adorable.

I jogged last Sunday at the Oval, it was fun and has plenty of runners! But my problem is.. where can I found a public washroom (Comfort room) in UP?

You can head to the Malcolm Hall at the UP College of Law or in any of the college buildings surrounding the oval.
