Silahis is an incredible shop that feels more like a museum of Filipino art and culture. They offer an amazing selection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind/ one-stop-shop for souvenirs and artwork from across the Philippines. The staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, sharing the fascinating history behind each piece, including details about the artisans, the regions they come from, and their cultural significance.
The prices are very reasonable, making it easy to bring home meaningful mementos. Whether you're looking for unique gifts or simply want to immerse yourself in Filipino culture, Silahis is the perfect spot to visit before leaving Manila. Highly recommend!

There is a very good gift shop here as well as that rarity in the Philippines - an excellent book store. I made a special trip here just to buy some history books. You can spend as much or as little time as you like here.

We stopped by Silahis with intention of a quick browse that turned into longer excursion of inspecting various curio and art. It isn't only a souvenir store with knick knacks, whatnots but there is an abundance of Filipino crafts, art, antiques as well as the art gallery at the third floor.
One just marvels at the extent of the inventory. Every turn has a display even along the staircases. You are free to roam and take your time. No clingy sales people here but still, they are attentive once their attention is called.
You come here to shop but the museum-like experience is a bonus!
Tip: there is ample free parking at the back, in the shared courtyard with Ilustrado restaurant.

An absolute thing of beauty! I went through the shop appreciating the arts, artifacts and Filipino handicrafts, with oohs and ahhs. Wish I had a deeper pocket to buy the exquisite wooden furniture pieces. Some were crazy expensive.
I recommend this place for those touring the Intramuros area for some Fil-Hispanic cultural arts exposure and those interested to buy Filipino handicraft pasalubong and souvenirs they can bring home.

This is a wonderful place to buy regional handicrafts. It is expensive and most things are not antiques, and don’t miss it, you will find some unique treasures

A great selection of high quality crafts -especially wood crafts - from all over the Philippines conveniently located in the heart of Intramuros. Prices are quite high compared to Balik Bayan or even Kultura. But I always take visitors in to see the goods, if nothing else just to see the range and craftsmanship of Filipino artisans.

I don't like commercial handicrafts much, specially those found in department stores or tourist areas. Silahis stands out from the rest in that it has the basic touristy handicrafts and much much more. the owner Robert Lane is an author of a book on basketry in the Philippines, and his great selections of baskets are all around the place. the upper floors have books, collectors items, antiques and again lots lots more.

Had a great time here. I have always been a fan of antique shops, galleries and bookstores so this place was just perfect for us.
Place.
Excellent. Just excellent.
They have real quality wood furniture and fine accessories. They have souvenirs too! Be sure to explore the place from the first to the 3rd floor (first time we visited we missed the 2nd and 3rd floor, we were so overwhelmed at the 1st floor and the mezzanine)
Price.
No entrance fee. Just sign up.
As for the items, they're a lot cheaper than when you buy them furniture at the SM store. So I'd definitely just buy stuff here.
Gallery.
You have to see it.
Overall.
GREAT EXPERIENCE.
(plus: they have ice creams :D)

Depending on your tourist status, you need to think about what you can walk away with before you enter here - some of the most beautiful things (and nice prices) were a little too big for me to consider hauling onto an airplane. Still, it's a huge space, with many, many types of objects. It is also somewhat unique here in Manila, and very accessible if you are touring the Intramuros. Filipinos are not very removed from their genuine craft abilities and traditions, so I think it is really a great place to purchase objects of real beauty and function.

Silahis Arts and Artifacts is located in the heart of the Intramuros. It has three large floors of handicrafts and artifacts and is definitely worth visiting.
