What is Manila Bay? For most Filipinos, sunset is best seen from the bay. The sunset in Manila Bay is spectacular and unobstructed. The only thing that is not advisable to do in Manila Bay is to swim or even take a dip. Department of Health warned the public not to swim in Manila Bay because of various bacteria and... More

I've lived in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London and visited many cities but they have nothing to compare against the sunset of Manila.

Manila Bay sounds nice, but it was crowded and the view wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. It is a nice walk in the evening when it's not blazing hot out. This was more of a couples spot. There are restaurants all across from and along the bay as well as street food. You could easily enjoy... More

Lacking here are more al fresco resto not linked to any fastfood chain or inside the confines of a mall. Street food from all regions of the Philippines will be a welcome delight to experience at all hours. Although security must be increased.

Beautiful historical place to walk and stroll around. Near hotels and restos. That's where battle of Manila bay happened when the Americans took over the Philippines from the Spanish in 1898.

We happened to be here near Mall of Asia (MOA), and enjoyed the view and vicinity. Nice place for morning walk. IMAX theatre is nearby. You can enjoy sunset from this place.

I was early for my hotel check-in and decided to explore the attraction in Malate. I strolled to Robinson Place Mall but it only opened at 10 am. I then wandered my way towards Manila Bay. I past by Malate Church. It was closed. From Malate Church, I walked across a busy main road and started my morning stroll along... More

It was heartbreaking seeing the whole families of homeless people living in Manila Bay. Many people were living on Manila Baywalk. From adults to tiny children to pregnant women. They are using the actual bay for all water needs including hygiene, toilets, cooking, and bathing. I saw some terrible things that were gut wrenching. If you can stomach the walk... More

Views are good from the buildings across Roxas Boulevard or from the MOA Complex... but street view could be a little bit iffy -- depending on the time of day, day of the week, pollution levels on the bay, and your own tolerance and sense of adventure. If you must spend time to soak up the beauty of Manila Bay... More
