We lasted about one minute before we made a decision to get out. Everyone was staring at us, and we felt very uneasy especially with two children with us. The guys were eyeing us threateningly and we got out of there within five minutes in a passing tuk tuk. It was a sinister feeling - the most uneasy I have felt in all of South East Asia.

Divisoria, is indeed a shopping haven in Asia, precisely because, you can find all things that you have in mind, all wrap into one area. Nice clothes, footwear, souvenirs shops, food stalls (wet and dry), varieties of merchandise with big discount are being sold within the premises. Although, loud noise is everywhere😀 That’s to be expected since, lot of people from all walks of life gathered here, everyday!

It a huge flea market with thousands of shops inside 4-5 plazas and outside on the street. I found some good bargain prices on clothes, shoes, handbags etc. the place is safe for tourists.

a trip to Manila will not be complete without a visit to Divisoria.
to my surprise, my face towel for sweat was not of use this time around. the usual chaos before was gone.
my best experience at my fave shopping location. bravo to the present Manila City admin for regaining control over the streets of Manila.

I did some reading from trip advisor before going for the trip. Despite the pandemic the place is busy. Everybody is wearing masks. Yeah, I went to Taboora Street and indeed found a lot of shops selling bottles. It is worth visiting each to have price comparison.

Busy, chaotic, full on but an experience. Variety of anything you can think of to buy from mock designer bags, clothes, shoes, food, home wear, party decorations, kids toys, pet toys, perfumes, hats, tools, jewellery. so much. Good experience to shop. Be careful of beggars.

When it comes to give aways, the number one place to go that comes to our mind is Tabora St. In divisoria. In the said street, you will be able to find different types of bottles depending on tour needs, baking and cooking utensils and of course pre-made give aways.
However due to checking for a cheaper price, i tend to look around even in a different street.
In tabora street, you may look for "Obet Bote" stall he sells the cheapest bottles, like with other at stalls a mason jar cost 35 but with him you can get it at only 20 pesos.
For the cheapest mason jars or bottles, you might want to turn left before Tabora Street and you may see other stalls selling cheap mason jars same jars in Tabora Street. You may want to look for Mercy Bote.
So from 168 shopping mall, just go straight ahead, passing the intersection (fire department to the right) then at the end of the alley ( going to the old divi mall) there are stalls selling juices mixes and party favors, turn right, you will see vendor selling shrimp ( then there is intersection again, straight ahead is tabora streets, turn left you will see cheap bottles and candies and chocolate mix.
I hope this could help :)

Divisoria, is the place to go for bargains galore. From the Tutuban Mall to 168 and all the other malls in the area, to the street bangket (stalls) its a CRAZY experience.
If you want to buy anything from clothes, cellphones, electronics, gadgets, gizmos and anything under the sun. Divisoria is the place to go. I've gone to the Night Market in HK, and if you liked shopping there, you'll love Divisoria. You can get everything from Night Market at half the price.
Tips:
1) If you're not claustrophobic, go during December, where the bargains are everywhere.
BUT
a) DO NOT go alone, bring friends.
b) DO NOT wear any jewelry
c) NEVER flaunt all your money
d) STAY AWAY from the really dark alleys.
e) Refrain from bringing those huge SLR cameras, bring something handy and simple
f) ALWAYS keep you bag infront of you
g) Cellphones and wallets, in your front pockets, and DONT wear those baggy pants that anyone can pick your pockets without you even feeling a thing.
I say this, not because its the most dangerous place, Its quite safe with roving police and hundreds of tourists daily, but being safe is the main priority here for you to really enjoy your stay. These are tips that are not just given to foreigners, but also to all Filipinos who go there. Putting it simply, don't temp the snatchers, no matter if you're 6'6".
2) If the say P500 for an item, say: LAST PRICE and go for P250. You can probably buy it for half the price, so keep haggling, its a lot of fun.
Its an experience that you will enjoy.
If you don't want it too crowded, go on a weekday, and avoid the december time where the streets are crowded.
Make sure you visit: 168, which is an airconditioned mall that is full of bargains, and Tutuban mall, where you can get a good meal in Max's Restaurant, or BODHI for the vegetarians.
You can search pictures for Divisoria and 168 on flikr. I'll add pics to the next post.

Hi, I am looking for 6x9mm barrel shaped beads called pony beads/crow beads, can I find them here in divisoria?
Written October 24, 2024
paki answer po...san po yung exact add at name nung store? nakakabili po ba ng brand new clothes in bulkorder/ per kilo dyan?
Written January 12, 2020
Yes you buy lots of clothes here with lots of choice .styles and fashion. Give yourself a good few hours to shop. A big tip is if you see something you like buy it there after bartering / negotiating the best price as you may not see it again as there are lots to see here and buy.
Written March 3, 2020
Yes you can buy many but please barter / negotiate a good price for yourself before buying. I find going very low at first and then moving up the price slowly works or even walking away then going back with a different offer also works.
If you do not like there price and negotiation do not go well look for it else where in the Divisioria very big market as you will find it for the price you like somewhere else in this market.

I'd like to buy corporate shoes for women, block heels or anything, where can I find them?
Written February 15, 2019
Many of the shoes in Divisoria are made in China and I assume you want good quality. If you want cheap shoes, google corporate ladies shoes in Divisoria and you will find many suppliers.
If you want good quality shoes then google Marikina Ladies Shoe Stores.
Many Shoes from Marikina are world class

Once you arrive at NAIA/MNL, you will have to go to the San Lorenzo Roiz Plaza, a distance of about an hour or so, depending upon the route taken and the state of traffic. The Divisoria Market begins there. It is very crowded and chaotic. Take care of your wallet and belongings. Hard bargaining is necessary. But you can end up getting good deals. But I do not know whether you will get the fabrics you are looking for.
