Seriously this was very interesting and a great way for a visitor to learn a bit about the history of the Philippines and Intramurous.
It was pretty awkward organising a visit and there isn't a lot of information online about show times and availability etc. The entrance isn't really marked and there was just a security guard outside so we weren't quite sure what to do when we arrived.
We paid PHP1000 for a show for just the two of us which was presented by 4 young volunteers. I think it's usually schools and other groups that go there so it's not really geared for tourists. and it was a little awkward being the only ones there.
It was hard to hear at times as when the guide directs you to look at the next section, you miss the audio of the presentation. They also giggled and talked amongst themselves through most of the show which was quite annoying but we let it go considering they are volunteering their time and are just kids really.
The technology used wasn't ground breaking so lower your expectations a bit when it comes to the moving mannequins etc., but the vision of the artist and story comes through very well. We left feeling like we had had an interesting history lesson and it improved our visit to other places in Intramurous as we could appreciate the history of the area far better.

This review is quite late. Intramurous is one of the oldest districts in Manila; formerly known as the Walled City, it has lots of history. It was founded during the Spanish occupation in Manila

Today I took my son here, instead of him joining the rest of the class during their field trip this coming Wednesday. Reason for this is that my son has sensory issues (part of being ASD), and is often bothered by bright lights and sounds. Though he was hesitant after seeing it on the internet, he was brave enough to try it. We were the only people for the 10 am tour. Very quick into the presentation he became overwhelmed and went into meltdown. The staff was very gracious, as they immediately stopped the show, left my son and I alone, and looked away till he calmed down. Then they re-started the show, however now with all house lights on, flashing light effects turned off and volume low. What a great team! Thank you Light and Sound Museum, many can learn from you about interaction with special needs families!! Bravo!

A visit to Intramuros and Rizal light and Sound Museum is must for all Filipinos to have appreciation of history and culture during the time of the Spanish Colonization. The place is very accessible via all modes of transportation (i.e. jeepney, cab, private car, bus etc.), Finbding a place to eat is not a problem as there plenty of resto nearby and around the area. If you go using private car, parking is not a problem as there are pay parking nearby establishments. The place brings you back in time and allows one to appreciate Filipno culture as influenced by Spaniards.

Untouched Intramuros is a perfect place to reminisce about 18th Century Manila and the bygone era of Spanish colonial period. Intramuros is a place to walk and immerse with Manila's past.

All visitors should visit and explore the Intramuros when visiting Manila. It's the best place to find local history. It would be really good if the country realised what an asset this area is to the city of manila. If you can try and combine a visit with a tour by Carlos Celdran. He will bring the local history alive with his tour of the area.

A good exhibition showing life in the Spanish era. A night time visit is not necessary but it is preferable to visit on a dry day as there is little shelter from rain

Educational & entertaining.
Child and elderly friendly. Took my brother, teenager friend, my 91 yo dad who is in a wheelchair with his nurse. Everyone enjoyed it very much. This museum is 99% handicap accessible except for the last exit where the museum
support staff carried my dad in a wheelchair down 3 flights of cobblestone steps from the wall of Intramuros. Friendly staff!

I've been to this museum twice already. I enjoyed the light and sound presentation of the history and culture of the Philippines. Photography is also allowed. This is a must see for every Filipino.
