Mall of Asia is the mall of the Philippines. There are two more on Cebu but that's another review. Mall of Asia has just about every type of store one can think of, from fast food to upscale restaurants and the Hard Rock Cafe too. There are movie theaters, the IMAX theater in nearby too, there are some carnival rides along Roxas Blvd and the place where hundreds of people wait for the sunset. The mall is multi-level and it is huge. Sometimes the guards give the wrong directions, customer service varies depending on the store or restaurant. It's common to see a Filipina glued to her phone. This is a good place to get some necessary things for your vacation, souvenirs, t-shirts, and beach accessories. When traveling to the Philippines, it's relatively safe, but there is risk of theft, especially cell phones, just as any country. English is the common generic language for countries to communicate, most Filipinos can speak English. It's not uncommon to be approached by girls or guys looking for relationships with foreigners. Unfortunately this and attracting foreigners via dating sites has developed into a epidemic with HIV and other STDs and STIs. The mall is busy from the moment they open. Getting transportation during closing can be a challenge because of everyone and employees going home. Traffic is similar to Los Angeles or New York. Manila is typically the first place most tourists stop before heading off to one of the other islands. It's important to note that if planing island hopping or boat trip, not all boats are checked regularly to ensure sea worthiness, so many boats do not have radios to call for emergency assistance and if away from a cellphone tower, pray that there is a nurse or doctor who can help. One other point, Filipinos are going through an identity crisis where skin lightening and avoiding getting tan has resulted in preferential treatment towards light skin people. They should watch the movie Moana, and learn to appreciate their identity of being tan. People will start doubting that they are Filipinos because how can one live on an island in the Pacific and not be tan. They also show preference towards white people which is a big problem to attract tourists.

SM City Manila is one of the smallest SM mega mall here in Manila ... most of the establishments are the same as other malls

The food court has more of a reasonable selection of food to choose from

The location is in the heart of Metro Manila, I played badminton every sunday at YMCA, only at the back of SM Manila. It's so good that, after playing badminton we took our meal in the SM which a few steps away.

Immediate process and good customer service. It only took me 1 hour to complete my driver's license renewal. It is really very convenient and efficient. Ensure to bring your old license and bring necessary fees.

They offer renewal services and student permit. For renewal, 2 months advance renewal is allowed. For expired license, you have to pay an additional fee, a penalty depending on the duration of expiry.

The most interesting thing about the mall is the big globe, which is located nearby. Especially, check it out at night.

The mall is located dead center of Manila. If you are looking for something or anything, fret not because like the entire SM group of malls slogan say “We got it all for you”.

First and foremost, you can find a wide variety of shops in here. From food establishments, amusement areas, cinemas and to services such hair/nail salon, you will likely find anything what you are looking for. They even have Government satellite offices to process driver’s license renewal and the Philippine passport. In addition, if you are taking public transportation to go here, you can take cabs, jeepneys and trains. Parking spaces are also available if you have your own vehicle.

However, if you are like me, who does not like crowded places. You might want to go to other malls instead. Being in the epicenter of different Colleges and Universities, this place buzzes with people during lunch time and dinner time. Consequently, more people mean more traffic jams. I never had a time were I’ve been here and did not experience heavy traffic.

Pros:
-Variety of shops
-Convenience of being near Central Terminal LRT station

Cons:
-Crowded from Monday to Sunday
-I hate its design LOL. same as SM Bacoor and SM Makati
