In addition to the numerous touring exhibits throughout the year, two of the anchors in this museum are the priceless Gold Gallery and the ancient Pottery Gallery, with pieces dating back to 220 BC.

I’ve heard a lot about this museum. People always praise it as the most valuable place to visit in New York. After my visiting, I have to say, it’s so true! It’s so big that I had to spent my whole five days exploring in...More

Always go to the Metropolitan when in NYC. Michaelangelo exhibit was drawing big crowd and we chose poorly by going on a Saturday morning. That was packed and we really didn't enjoy it much, but the rest of the museum compensated for that nicely. One...More

A must for art and history buffs. Large collection which can be overwhelming. One day may not be enough to see it all. For short visits, plan it well, choose the galleries you like.

This was an indifferent museum, with a receptionist who did not make us feel welcome. Several areas of the museum were closed to set up new exhibitions. The modern Filipino art seemd quite angry and psychedelic. Some of it was quite political. The rest was...More

Not bad! Some creative & interesting art, & far better curated & maintained than the National Museum. If you have to choose between the two, go here. It had a peaceful, quiet vibe, & I came away with a better sense of the Filipino art...More

Modern art lovers will appreciate this museum more. I prefer traditional art such as landscapes. However, there were a few good exhibits here such as the family dioramas in the TV sets; I am glad I visited. It is small, plan for 40-60 minutes.

The Philippines has a tragic past and it's reflected in its art. This museum didn't disappoint, especially for just 100 pesos! Lots of sculptures and really interesting modern stuff unlike anything you'd find in other countries. I felt like it was a true reflection of...More
