My wife and I try to do walking tours wherever we travel and this is certainly one of the best anywhere. Although we didn't walk all that far around Intramuros the entertainment and history lesson were superb. What an easy way to learn. I'd recommend to anyone as great value for money.

Carlos held everyone's attention from the get go with his charisma and antics. He knows the history well and injects his spiel with humor, bits of sarcasm and loads of passion. The vivid images he conjures help to make the facts stick to your memory long after the tour has ended. Carlos is, quite simply, one of a kind.

I loved this tour. Carlos makes the rich history of Manila come to life. His presentation was incredible. As sad as Manila's history may seem, the national pride and clear ambition that emerged from Manila's struggle with imperial powers and its fight for independence left me feeling hopeful. His tour was inspiring and beautiful - not to mention very funny... More

It's been a couple of hours since finishing Carlos Celdran's excellent tour, and I'm still processing all I heard. The vivid descriptions of the colonial Spanish and US influences and US reparations after WWII help explain some of what has been puzzling me about Manila as an American visitor....where is the Filipino"ness"? Why American models on the malls posters? Why... More

As a balikbayan Filipino, I had heard so much of Celdran's must go Walk this way tour of Manila. Growing up in Manila and having been educated on a certain US / Catholic background, Carlos gave me a different insight of my Philippine culture and its evolution. It was up to me to balance and wrap my head around the... More

Carlos is very knowledgeable and has a professional organization offering a comprehensive historical walk with a short horse or rickshaw bike ride and a desert to complete the experince. He is very passionate about the Philippines / American experience during the second world war. On occasion the intensity of his feelings left us feeling uncomfortable and if we had been... More

While some might not completely agree with Carlos' unorthodox views on the historical events in the Philippines, the quality of the tour is exceptional. It's well-designed and excellently presented; this one-man show not only keeps you entertained, but provoke you to do your own research on some controversial moments of the Philippines history. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants to... More

What a pleasure to walk this way through Intramuros with a guide who has such deep and expansive knowledge of Philippine history, but this is more than just a walking tour through the historical center of Manila. Be prepared for a 2.5 hour sprint through Philippine history with wry and biting social commentary by an excellent performer using Intramuros as... More

This was an interesting way to learn about the history of Manila as well as enjoy a very pleasant walk with Carlos Celdran. He is an excellent guide and he involves other locals in the tour - a horse drawn cart ride or by tricycle if you dare. An innovative way to share knowledge about a city of contrasts and... More

Carlos is definitely energetic and provides a good entertainment value while passing along the history of Manila. It starts with an amusing walking tour that eventually leads into Fort Santiago. Once inside there things turn a bit dark while he rages on about the impact that America had on Manila (more bad than good). Then you walk out to an... More

Deepest apologies, Sir. I'm so sorry that the narration of The Battle of Manila and World War 2 made you weary. Hopefully the next war in our region will be more entertaining. All the best. Carlos More
