If you are expecting a world class and smooth system like singapore or japan you will disappointed. Its quite chaotic and packed at times. But experiencing the local public transport system is a great way to see the city you visit

going to makati, caloocan, pasay, manila? well, even if you have a car you will be dealing with amount of traffic not to mention the parking problem. Taking MRT & LRT is always the best option if you want to save some time
