Went last year actually (sorry for the late review) but Dustin was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. It was a lot of fun for me to re-learn about my country’s history and it was nice being able to share that with my Japanese friends. I had to translate for my friends since they needed a bit of help with English but Dustin gave me time to properly relay the story. He also did a great job deflecting a person from who rudely interrupted our tour and went about whitewashing Philippine history in front of my friends. I would do Manila for a Day tours again as a history refresher.

I am a Filipino living in Canada, and my boyfriend came to visit Manila (where I spent most of my childhood/teen years) for the first time. Philippine history has always been so interesting to me, and I personally love cultural/historical tours, so I thought it would be nice to book us a tour. After some research, I landed on CQPH's 3-hour 3G (God, Gold & Glory) Tour in lovely Intramuros. We LOVED the experience! Dustin was a hilarious and extremely friendly, knowledgeable host; he took the time upfront to get to know us both, and throughout our 3-hour tour he would tie content back to our personal experiences and what he'd learned about us. I thought that this would mostly be an enlightening experience for my boyfriend, but he actually ended up knowing even more than I did, haha. I learned so much about my own country, Philippine culture, and why I am the way I am. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and would do it again; I honestly would have booked the 6 hour version if we'd had the time during our trip. I'm excited for my next trip back home where I plan to explore what other tours/experiences CQPH has to offer! Logistics were flawless - Dustin was punctual, we spent just enough time in each spot, even with some time for photos (he is also a great phone photographer), and finished just on time with a delicious halo-halo each!

The tour was great! It was very informative and interesting. Good review of our history plus some new learnings, or if not new , - presented from a different perspective. Dustin was very good - he made the tour of the San Agustin Museum and Church and Casa Manila so interesting - an experience you won't get if you just walked around or toured on your own. He also gave us insights on why we Filipinos behave or act the way we do - which was really interesting. Highly recommended for Filipinos - or even foreigners who would like to know more about our history and our people.

My deepest and most sincere gratitude, Maria! Your kind words were incredibly inspiring and I'm happy to hear that you learned a lot during our tour. Our past is such an interesting glimpse on how our current culture evolved and we do our best to weave that analysis and insight into every tour program. I'm so happy that you found it an experience worth your time and money! We hope to see you on another tour in the future!

This is the second time I've participated in the guided tour. Philippine history and culture is the intersection of many cultures through the centuries, it's amazing that there were still things to discover, and to be said about the islands. Dustin again did very well, he puts a lot of passion and research into his craft. I will not be surprised to learn something else if I were to participate a 3rd or a 4th time. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm happy that you enjoyed our time together even if it was your second time. In fact, we take pride in being able to offer something new with every tour—especially if you've taken the same tour program before. Thank you so very much again for leaving such a wonderful review and we hope to see you on tour once it's safe to do so again!
