Although its a small place it has a lot of history attached to it. You have a fantastic view of the island from here. There is a sitting area where you can sit and relax and enjoy the view.

The most spectacular views in the Morne National Park are generally at the end of a decent hike. For those who want the view, without the pain, then Mission Lodge Lookout is perfect. You can to the car park, walk 100m down a path and...More

The views from here are fantastic. You can also sit for a while and just take it all in. There is also a lot of history about this place, so don't forget to read up.

This is a great place to get beautiful views of Mahe and some of the surrounding islands. It's a steep drive to the top, but well worth it when you get there. The area is beautiful, and well kept. There's a bit of history to...More

Don't miss this part of the island ! The sans soucis road is the most beautiful road crossing from East to West the island. From Victoria to Port Glaud. On the West part, in a curve, you'll see a small road, direction Mission lodge lookout....More

We had chosen to go to Mission Lodge as it was one of the best accessible viewpoints by car since we did not have the strength to scale Morne Blanc or other trails in the hot Mahe summer. It was quite far (~50-60 min drive)...More

This is the site of a former slave worker plantation, which offers superb views over the island to the sea. There are some architectural remains, which are not in themselves particularly interesting, and some information plaques showing how it might have been before being abandoned....More

This view is one of the best on the island however it would not be that great on a rainy day. There are some ruins from the days of slavery but it is the view that you come up here for .

Serene surrounding and good view but not spectacular. There are ruins of the historic buildings with a bit of history. It is a nice visit if you have extra time but not a must.
