Given the ratings on this site I hesitated to fo an see the old residence. It was absolutely worth it. Great experience to visit the various official and private rooms and to embrace the energy of spaces where dignitaries met.

This beautiful mansion shows how the king lives as it was a past residence of the king. Beautiful furniture, rooms and decor. Shows the throne room, room where people wait for an audience with the king, bedrooms. Very interesting and glad we took the time...More

Great place to bring schooling children for better understanding of Malaysia Royal 's. Schooling children must go place. Recommended primary 4 and above.

The royal museum (old istana negara) is a nice place to visit, but in fact it needs more improvement to be better. I also don't know why we cannot have photos there?!!

The royal museum is located in the old national palace beside Jalan Istana. Beautiful landscape design & amazing old architecture building. RM5 admission fee. A good place to know better our king
