Beautiful Architecture with Fine work
Jan 2020 • Couples
It is also the ancestral home of the four founders on whose name the temple is build using bricks wood and stone. It has been declared as one of the 13 must visit tourist attractions of Kuala Lumpur. Fine architecture and three deities representing three ancestors of Mr. Chan.

Fantastic Chinese Temple near Chinatown in KL
Nov 2019
I do love a good temple and this is one of the best in downtown KL.

Just off the Maharajeela MRT station heading into Chinatown.

You always get a fantastic feeling of peace in p,aces like this and I love them.

Exemplary and beautiful
Jan 2019
Built in 1906, the complex in gray, red and gold colors is over a century old and beautifully renovated. Well maintained by members of the Chan clan. As far as I am concerned an example for others to follow.
Beautiful carvings and sculptures, festive Chinese lanterns and inside an altar enshrining the three main ancestors of the Chan clan. A small informative room with photos and historic details is part of the compound.
Free admission.

Really cool Clan House
Nov 2018 • Solo
If you do the Historical Centre of China Town Walking tour, this is where things start off. I was amazed at the detail on this temple, (built in 1906). I found it easy to find, right next to the huge fountain from the 1950s.

A lot of bling in this temple, which is located just off the street, and can be visited during the day time

Stunning temple
Jun 2018
The temple is small, but interesting. It is actually hard to find it. You need to go through all the Chinatown or ask the Uber or Grab driver to drive you right to the place.

Quick visit
May 2018 • Family
The details in the roof is beautiful and is worth a few photos. However, I don't think one will spend more than ten minutes here so I think it's better to combine with a trip to Chinatown and not make this a sole destination.

Chinese Ancestral Hall
Mar 2018 • Couples
It's not a temple, its a Clan House of Chan/Chens. The style is from Guangzhou. I love the architecture and history. It's a cultural centre/ancestral hall/ was a school also. It does have temple like areas/ancestral shrines. Built in 1906 I think and non traditional colours. It's an unusual place to see in Malaysia so not as popular as a tourist attraction but its free and really interesting
