Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple is located in a center of Kyoto. It can be reached within five minutes walk from Gojo station, which is one station away from Kyoto station. It is a Shin Buddhist temple. The temple was established in 1602.

We enjoyed this temple compound as it was quiet and not many people. Nice buildings, especially the main temple building with its prayer hall. In the back area is a nice compound, do not miss this one!

Because of its great location, we can spend our last hour of visit to Kyoto in here. The temple is quite big in size in terms of space therefore you feel very relaxed. The scene is also quite attractive.

This temple is just 10 mn from Kyoto station. It is totally free and vast. The main hall the founder hall which I visited is just massive and imposing.

Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi
Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist

strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine
itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the
