Togetsukyo Bridge was the landmark of Arishiyama. There were many activities around including rickshaw riding, sakura watching, scenic strolling, eating, boat cruising and photo-taking. It would be most joyful when the sakura trees were in full bloom as it would formed beautiful backdrop for the...More

This beautiful bridge crosses over the river and connects the main part of Arashiyama to the Monkey Park. We enjoyed crossing bridge both by foot and by bicycle. At night there are lanterns running along the bridge that light up. It's a very pretty bridge...More

This is a nice and busy bridge over the river in Arashiyama. Good to visit the bridge for photos. Its best to visit in the morning to avoid the crowd.

This bridge is in a very pretty setting, but we couldn't see why it was so special. It is a good spot to take photos.

This wooden bridge provides lots of scenic views and there are various shops situated near the bridge. This bridge does get crowded but you can still get a few good photos.

Lots of eating places and coffee shops facing the bridge. WE made this our meeting place. Lots to see and observe while waiting for each other. Spectacular photos to be taken. And also good approach to the bamboo forest -- far from the crowds.

We visited Arashiyama in late October. It is not the best month to come as the Autumn fallen foliage has not arrived. A better month would be to come in early or middle of November. It is only when the whole mountain of Arashiyama is...More

Just crossed this bridge briefly on our short stop of Arashiyama. I'm pretty sure we could have discovered more beauty in it if we could have stayed more and explored a little bit.

It's so crowded on the bridge, and it's better to take photo from far away, so you can see the whole bridge. The bridge and the river looks beautiful. There's a small coffee shop near it, you can always find long queue for a cup...More

Togetsukyo Bridge is one of the symbols of Arashiyama. Just take a moment to look over the bridge and take some pictures of the nature. The bridge connected the areas that are separated by this Honzu & Katsura river. Many people visit during the Autumn...More
