This small skiresort is the place to be when the fresh snow starts to fall. Inside the resort boundaries treeskiing possibilities are numerous. Outside, using gates 6 and 10 is fabulous. Ps: bring fat ski's ;-)

We took a train to reach Makomanai station first and change to a taxi to the ski area at north slope, which will cost around ¥1500. Only north slope entrance will rent the ski set. Staff there are friendly but can only speak limited English....More

Great resort, been here a few times. Fantastic powder snow, small only 3 lifts but plenty of space and back country to keep you going all day. Cheap lift ticket and good food at reasonable cost. Though not the prettiest of cafes, and it closes...More
