It was a good place to visit if you have plenty of time and nothing else to do, but there are plenty of other better / bigger residences in China.

We roamed around the mansion ourselves and it was so peaceful and beautiful. Suggest to spend around 1.5 - 2 hrs to truly appreciate the house. We regretted not getting a guide to tell us more about the history and architecture.

This house has everything. It is about a city block big. Very ornate .It cost 1/3 of the towns annual GDP.

This is a must, to take a step back in time to enjoy a wonderful home and a traditonal chinese garden! There are so many details to enjoy from the beautiful Koi to the stained glass windows as well as the greenery and rock caves.

You need a knowlegeable tour guide to walk you through the entire mansion which took us over a hour. We gained knowlegeable insights about the man, the residence layouts (including a separate section with many doors leading to his concubines area) and huge landscaped gardens....More

This house is a huge walled house with wonderful gardens, ponds, grotto like carves and magnificent rooms. It is an insight into a wonderful lpast and one of the best places in China
